YOUR MISSION
Bent on Argyll wide domination, the dastardly Dr Weevil and his evil henchman Hamish have planted a bomb under Tarbert Castle. Can you follow the trail of clues around the village to find the code to deactivate the bomb, thereby saving this landmark from certain destruction?
Tarbert
Tarbert, on the shores of Loch Fyne, is a pretty fishing village which can also be considered as the gateway to the beautiful Kintyre peninsula. The shops, pubs, hotels and houses are settled snugly around the welcoming natural harbour, overlooked by the ruins of Tarbert Castle, where the long distance footpath, the Kintyre Way, begins.
This challenging Spy Trail leads you on a route exploring the village and includes a visit to the castle, a lovely view from the war memorial, and the often missed Promenade Gardens. Unfortunately, due to the rough steps down from the castle, the Trail is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
