YOUR CASE
A media frenzy has ensued following the discovery of the body of popular television star Glen Herbush in a Helensburgh house yesterday. Rumours of an alleged association with organised crime have thrown up several suspects. Can you follow the trail of clues around Helensburgh to find out "whodunnit" and with what weapon?
Helensburgh
The attractive town of Helensburgh owed its growth and popularity to its seaside location on the Clyde. With both a steamer and rail service, it was one of the most popular west coast Victorian seaside resorts. Even today, it is well worth exploring and has some fine examples of Victorian architecture and monuments to some of its most famous sons. It is also a fine base to explore the nearby Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
The Murder Mystery Trail leads you along Helensburgh's waterfront promenade, before returning to the town via leafy, peaceful suburban streets. You then explore the town centre and its Victorian architecture before returning to your starting point outside the Tourist Information Centre. Suitable for everyone, including pushchairs and wheelchairs. Distance - 1.5 miles. Time - allow 1.5 hours.
