  • YOUR MISSION

The dastardly Dr Weevil and his henchman Hamish have planted a bomb under Merchant Square, hell bent on destroying this iconic Glasgow landmark and throwing the city into disarray. Can you follow the trail of clues and find the code to disarm the bomb, saving the city from disaster?

    Glasgow Merchant City

Seconds from the bustle of busy shopping precincts lies Glasgow's Merchant City; an oasis of stately architecture, laid back shopping, dining and cultural pursuits. One of the oldest quarters of Glasgow and the cultural heart of the city, the area is characterised by buzzing bars, luxury apartments, tenement flats, award winning restaurants, design shops and artist galleries. Each street offers a variety of interests for every pocket and taste.

Starting in George Square, the Spy Trail starts by leading you away from Merchant City, where you will explore the pedestrianised Buchanan Street, the walkway along the River Clyde and Glasgow Green. You will then return to Merchant City via St Andrews in the Square, before visiting Merchant Square and winding your way through the streets of Merchant City. The Trail is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, although there is a flight of steps to be climbed to solve one of the clues.
