YOUR CASE
Local fisherman Hamish McHaddock was yesterday found battered and bruised in the wheelhouse of his fishing boat; he later died of his injuries. Rumour has it there was something fishy going on, with Hamish's boat having been seen arriving at the pier in the dead of night. Your job is to follow the trail of clues around Campbeltown to find out "whodunnit" and with what weapon.
Campbeltown
Situated on the Kintyre peninsula at the head of a loch sheltered by Davaar Island lies Campbeltown, one of the largest towns in Argyll. Once a thriving fishing port that also boasted no fewer than 32 distilleries, it is still an ideal base to explore the Mull of Kintyre, made famous by the Paul McCartney song.
The Campbeltown Murder Mystery Trail is a great way to explore the town taking in the harbour, sea front, a woodland path, the town centre and Springbank distillery. It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, with alternative routes suggested where the Trail crosses grassy areas. The distance covered is approximately 1.75 miles and you should allow at least 2 hours.
