YOUR CASE
Jan De Gold, head of the world famous corporation De Gold Mining, has been found dead in his hotel room on a visit to the area. Police suspect foul play. Rumour has it that he was planning a "supermine" that would change the face of Breadalbane forever!
Can you follow the trail of clues around Breadalbane to find out "whodunnit" and with what weapon?
Breadalbane
The word Breadalbane comes from Gaelic, Bràghaid Albainn, meaning the High Country of Scotland. It’s a landscape on a dramatic scale. Mountains line its glens like giant stepping-stones and its rivers flow east into the Tay, Scotland’s largest river. It’s no surprise that travellers, such as St Fillan, passed here as Breadalbane lies at the junction of some of the most important routes in the Highlands. The mountains, woods, lochs and rivers provide a majestic backdrop to a wealth of recreation. You can enjoy everything from challenging climbs or exhilarating water sports, to fly fishing and leisurely picnics. Breadalbane has something for everyone!
The Breadalbane Murder Mystery Trail is the ideal way to explore "The Land of Giants". Visitng Tyndrum, Crianlarich, Killin and Balquhidder, as well as passing many points of interest in between, the Trail has been written in conjunction with the Breadalbane Tourism Group and aims to help you get the most out of your visit to the area. Unfortunately, the majority of the Trail is unsuitable for wheelchairs as several of the sections are over public footpaths. You will need a car or bike to get between each village (there is a cycle path some of the way), but all clues are solved on foot.
