YOUR CASE

Master distiller Rob Wome has been found murdered in his laboratory. It is rumoured he was working on a new formula to make whisky truly uisge-beatha (the water of life), but it looks like he has taken the secret to his grave. Your job is to follow the trail of clues around Bowmore to discover "whodunnit" and with what weapon.

Bowmore

Situated near the head of Loch Indaal, Bowmore is the largest village on the Isle of Islay as well as being the geographical and administritive centre of the island.
Islays main Tourist Information Centre is housed here, as well as Bowmore Distillery and the landmark round church of Kilarrow Parish, dominating Main Street.

The Bowmore Murder Mystery Trail leads you around the village exploring the round church, the harbour area and Bowmore's pretty streets with their white and pastel coloured houses. A short section leads you out into the countryside, with views of Loch Indaal.
The Trail is suitable for all and for the most part follows pavements and roads.
Distance : 1.5 miles. Time : allow 1.5 hours.
