Stranraer (May 2011)

The renovation of the area around the Castle of St John has extended to the pavement opposite where clue 4 was to be solved.  The answer is Sarah Valentini.

Alloway 2010 version

Unfortunately the signpost used for the first clue has been removed. The answer to clue 1 is Linda Trust.

Biggar (January 2011)

- for those with versions 1 and 2 of this Trail, the school referred to in clue 10 has been demolished. The correct answer is 'Cued Cattle Farm'.

Arran South

- if you have a version 1 of this Trail, please get in touch with us regarding the answer submission

 

Gretna / Gretna Green August 2010

- please note that, due to a printing error, the 4th box of clue 22  should also be shaded.

 

Portpatrick August 2010

- clue 7 - the bowling green sign is apparently sometimes removed.  If you have version 1 of this Trail and the sign is not there, you need to know that the final word is PLAYER.

 

Rhins of Galloway August 2010

- clue 12 - the inscribed stone has been relocated within Portpatrick.  If you have version 1 of this Trail the answer is 'fine day son'.

 

Dumfries July 2010

- clue 20 - the opening times for the museum at the Robert Burns Centre have changed.  If you have version 1 of this Trail, add 3 to your answer to find the weapon to cross out.

 

Castle Douglas July 2010

- clue 21 - the address of the registered office at the Post Office has changed. The answer to this clue in versions 1 and 2 of this Trail is 'Told Trees'. The overall answer is unaffected.

 

Stranraer Trail June 2010

- unfortunately, due to extensive regeneration work around the museum, clues 3, 4 and 5 cannot be solved.  The answer to clue 3 is EVE HAMPTENT, the answer to clue 4 is SARAH VANHELSING and the answer to clue 5 is RUAIRIDH INGLES.  The overall answer is unaffected.

Alloway Trails bought in 2009

- the sign on the arched gateway at the Burn's Cottage car park has been removed. The answer to clue 1 is Rae Toom. 
- clue 23 - should read 'lamp-post R92'       

- the former car park at The Tam O'Shanter Experience is now closed off due to building work making Clue 15 inaccessible. The answer is MUNGO SWELL. The overall answers are unaffected.

Please ignore Direction 9 and continue along the main road, turning left towards the Auld Kirk where you can solve Clue 16. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Eaglesham bought early summer 2009

- the Rotary Club sign has been removed from the doorway of the Eglinton Arms during recent renovations. The answer was 1185. This photo clue has now been replaced. The overall answer is unaffected.

Kirkcudbright bought early summer 2009

- the sculpture shown in the photo clue 20 has been removed. The answer is BROUGHTON. This photo clue has now been replaced. The overall answer is not affected.
