  • YOUR CASE

Infamous Troon smuggler from bygone years, Ustov Ittaway and his wife and accomplice Heidi, buried their treasure to escape the exciseman. A map with clues has recently been uncovered showing the whereabouts of this treasure. Can you can solve these clues and identify the burial site? If you can you could win a prize! Good luck!

    Troon

Troon is a small seaside town overlooking the Isle of Arran in the heart of golf country
Dating from the early 1800s, Troon has many hotels, B&Bs, shops, restaurants and cafes. It also offers a safe, sandy beach with a variety of facilities on the esplanade, which make it a popular holiday resort.

The town has an amazing seven golf courses, including Royal Troon, which regularly hosts the Open Championships. The bustling harbour is home to Ayrshire's fish market and yachting enthusiasts can enjoy the facilities of the Yacht Haven, one of the Clyde's leading sailing centres. Troon is also one of the major ferry ports for Northern Ireland, with routes to Belfast and Larne.

This Treasure Trail is approximately 2 miles long and in itself should take about 2 hours to complete. However, the attractions of the beach and a fantastic play area along the way as well as the shops, cafes etc, will mean it could take considerably longer.
