YOUR MISSION
Special agents have uncovered a plot by international spy Sven Doublo to sabotage the highly acclaimed Strathaven Balloon Festival in his attempt to gain further notoriety as a force to be reckoned with. He has planted a device that, if activated, could blow a huge crater in the take-off site. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to follow the trail of clues to find the deactivation code. If successful, you could win a prize!
Strathaven
Strathaven (pronounced 'Stray'van') nestles in the Avon valley. It is a picturesque little town with its focal point, the Common Green, where markets were held in days gone by. This is now tarred over to provide car parking for the fascinating mix of shops, inns and coffee houses.
Unfortunately this Spy Trail is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs as there is a steep path and some steps to negotiate on the way to one clue. The Trail is about 2 miles in distance and should take about 2 hours, but you will pass so many interesting places on the way that you will probably take considerably longer!
