Stranraer
Stranraer is Dumfries and Galloway's second largest town, or as locals call it, 'the toon', and has a population, including the surrounding area, of around 13,000. It is perhaps best known as a ferry port connecting Scotland with Belfast in Northern Ireland.
Stranraer has a bustling town centre with museums, a harbour and colourfully painted rows of houses, cafes, guest houses, hotels and shops.
It has a very attractive park on the shores of Loch Ryan, Agnew Park. It is a 'must' for all visitors with children as it offers a large boating lake, a miniature railway, a play island, a putting green, play-park and lots more.
This Murder Mystery Walking Trail is about 1.5 miles long and should take approximately 1.5 hours to complete. However it will take you past places where you may wish to spend more time, notably the museum and Agnew Park. It is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
