  • YOUR MISSION

A foreign spy network has sent their top secret agent Sven Doublo to destroy the fishing industry in the south-west of Scotland. They intend to detonate an underwater bomb off the coast of Port Logan in an attempt to kill all the fish. Clues have recently been uncovered which will give the deactivation code for this device. Your mission is to solve these clues in time to stop this evil deed. If your are successful you could win a prize!

    Rhins of Galloway driving/cycling Trail

The Rhins of Galloway is a quiet area of Scotland that boasts some of Scotland's most stunning scenery with a much milder climate. Tropical plants such as palm trees can be grown here which should dispel the myth that Scotland is too cold to visit!

The Rhins is rich in wildlife, with beautiful landscapes making it very attractive for photographers, artists, wildlife lovers, birdwatchers and walkers. It is a peaceful, tranquil region of Scotland and the ultimate 'getaway' from busy modern life.

It's an area that's also rich in history, from Iron Age forts to Castles and remains of World War II activity.

As well as being popular with tourists, many people stay in the area as a stopover on the way to Larne or Belfast from Cairnryan or Stranraer.

This Spy Trail will take you around most of the Rhins of Galloway with 6 stop-off places to visit and solve clues - Stranraer, Drummore, Mull of Galloway, Port Logan, Portpatrick and Leswalt.

The Trail is written with Stranraer as the starting point but the 6 places can be visited in any order without affecting the answer.

The overall driving distance is 60 miles and walking distances total 2.5 miles. The Trail itself should take approximately 4 hours but, with so many interesting places to visit, further exploration will mean it could take considerably longer - take a picnic and make a day of it!

The Trail is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs with only one clue at a war memorial involving a few steps.
