  • YOUR MISSION

After finally deciding to bite the bullet, Jamie McBond and Miss Funnymoney have eloped to Gretna Green. However, McBond's arch enemy Goldfinger has ruined the day by kidnapping Miss Funnymoney and locking her in a booby-trapped cellar below The Old Blacksmith's Shop. Can you save the day by solving the clues to find the code needed to safely unlock the cellar and free the bride-to-be?

    Gretna and Gretna Green

Just one mile north of the Scotland / England border, Gretna is separated from Gretna Green by the A75.

Where Gretna Green is steeped in history often associated with runaway marriages, Gretna is relatively modern, being built as a planned township to house munitions workers during the First World War.

With its registration offices and other wedding venues, Gretna has also become involved in the weddings industry. With over 4,000 weddings annually, one in eight Scottish weddings take place here.

A more recent and popular addition to the visitor attractions already offered here is the Gretna Gateway Outlet Village with its 50 leading brand stores.

With a great variety of hotels, restaurants and cafes, there is plenty to do to fill your day at Gretna and Gretna Green.

This walking Spy Trail has two parts - Gretna and Gretna Green. The Trail is written beginning with Gretna, but the Gretna Green clues could be solved first. The whole Trail is about 2 miles long - 1.25 in Gretna and 0.75 in Gretna Green - and it should take approximately 2 hours to complete. It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
