Eaglesham
Eaglesham was the first conservation village in Scotland. It is surrounded by unspoilt countryside yet within easy travelling distance of Glasgow, East Kilbride, Paisley, especially since the Southern Orbital link road has opened.
Eaglesham has an elevated position with a meadow, stream and mature trees separating the two original rows of houses. There are country lanes to stroll or cycle, and golfing and fishing close by. With its restaurants, village pubs and tearoom, there is plenty to offer the visitor.
The Eaglesham Murder Mystery Walking Trail leads you on a route exploring the village. The 2 mile route is suitable for pushchairs but unfortunately not for wheelchairs as some of the pavements are steep. You should allow about 2 hours to complete the Trail.
