YOUR CASE
Breaking news: two cowboy plumbers, Duane Pipe and Lee King, have been found dead in the grounds of the Auld Kirk in Alloway. With many disgruntled clients hounding them for refunds for botched jobs, there are many potential suspects. Solve these clues to find the murderer and the weapon used. If you are successful you could win a prize!
Alloway
No visit to Ayrshire is complete without a pilgrimage to Alloway, birthplace of its most famous son Robert Burns. The visitor attractions include the Burns Cottage museum, the Auld Kirk, the Brig O' Doon, the Burns Monument and Memorial Gardens and the new Robert Burns Birthplace Museum which opened at the end of 2010.
The route of this Trail links up all of these atractions as well as others such as Rozelle Park.
All in all, if you visit all the attractions, this Trail could easily provide you with a busy but most enjoyable day's outing.
This Murder Mystery Walking Trail is approximately 2 miles long and should take about 2 hours to complete. Unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchairs as it includes steps into the Auld Kirk, but it should be negotiable for pushchairs. The route links up most of Alloway's attractions so you will almost definitely take longer as there are so many interesting things to see and do here.
