  • YOUR CASE

Papers including an ancient map and some clues have been discovered. They are thought to have been made by Walt Malt, an old salt involved in whisky smuggling in the 19th century and who is known to have stashed barrels of the priceless whisky somewhere on the island. Can you solve the clues and find the location of the 'amber nectar'? If you are successful, you could win a prize!

    Arran - Blackwaterfoot

Blackwaterfoot is a pleasant little village on the west coast of Arran with a small harbour, hotel, shops and a post office. It is one of the smaller villages of Arran and home to one of Europe's two 12 hole golf courses. Walking along the shore line will take you to the cliffs of Drumadoon. These cliffs are at the end of a lava flow from volcanic times.

This walking Treasure Hunt is 1 mile long and should take about 1 hour to complete. It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, though, in several parts of this route, there are no pavements in this quiet village and extra care will be required.
