WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY

The Treasure Trails Swanpool education project taught the children how to write, produce and sell their own Treasure Trail. They learnt valuable teambuilding and problem solving skills and had fun working together, learning about Falmouth and exploring the local area.

Trails for schools and other groups

Treasure Trails can work with your school, providing a great learning experience for the pupils in a variety of activities:

  • a school trip using an existing Trail
  • writing a tailoured Trail, which your school will have ownership of
  • a project for the pupils where they, research, design and produce a Treasure Trail which again the school will own

Whichever option you select will ensure an innovative, enjoyable learning experience for all involved. The Trails can offer a different and fun way to fit Curriculum for Excellence.

Everything on this page is also relevant to scout and guides groups as the Trails meet criteria for many of the activity badges and awards.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the Trails further, please contact us.

school trips

Existing trails can be used as a low cost school trip.

The trails are fun, healthy and (subliminally) educational. Each trail contains easy to follow directions, problem solving and local information.

Treasure Trails can provide additional tasks and activities for the day trip.

You may choose to run the trip on your own or Treasure Trails staff can assist.

trails designed by children

Whilst it is true that Treasure Trails are a fun way to explore and learn about an area, what better way to learn new skills than writing your own Trail?

Writing a Trail for education involves:

  • planning
  • using clear and concise directions
  • observing potential clues on the route
  • crafting clever, and different clues
  • researching the local area history
  • teamworking
  • developing social skills and confidence

The Trail can be constructed on Treasure Trails software, or can be designed in a different format as required.

To futher enhance the Trail production it can be developed into an enterprise project where advertisers and sponsors can be found for the Trail. The Trail can then be sold for profit.

Your school's trail

Treasure Trails can design a Trail specifically for your school or for a particular occasion. The location is your choice, within the school, in the surrounding area or perhaps a local area of interest.

The Trail can be themed to reinforce a particular area of learning that has been covered in the classroom.

Trails could be used for primary pupils as they are introduced to the new surroundings of high school.
