It’s amazing how we walk around with our eyes closed sometimes without appreciating our surroundings. Our Stonehaven Heritage Trail has been designed with this in mind and will show you the best bits of this historical town in a fun and entertaining way. Stonehaven is a picturesque coastal town rich in history and lies south of Aberdeen. This Trail leads you around Stonehaven exploring its rich heritage and the legacy left by Stonehaven's Barclay Family. The sites visited have survived through the ages and still enjoy a prominent place today. Follow the directions and solve the clues to discover more of its secrets and find out where other 'treasures' are hidden.
Written in collaboration with Stonehaven's Heritage Society, this circular, buried treasure walking Trail is about 3 miles long and takes approximately 2.5 hours. It is suitable for light pushchairs but regrettably not wheelchairs.
