Royal Deeside Village Trail
It’s amazing how we walk around with our eyes closed sometimes, without appreciating our surroundings. Our Royal Deeside Village Trail has been designed with this in mind and will show you the best bits of 4 of its picturesque villages in a fun and entertaining way.
This driving spy Trail starts in Torphins then visits the villages of Lumphanan, Tarland and finishes in historic Kincardine O'Neil (22 miles). The Trail should last 3.5 hours and the walking distance is roughly 3.5 miles. You can drive (or cycle!) between the villages and the clues are answered whilst walking. The route within each village is circular. It is not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
