  • YOUR CASE

In 1739 local fisherman, Captain Haddock, hauled aboard a pirate's chest full of gold bullion in his net. Unfortunately Captain Haddock died before he could disclose where it was buried and it has lain hidden for centuries. Recently however, an old map was discovered revealing its whereabouts. Can you solve the clues and locate the treasure?

    Peterhead

Peterhead is the largest town in Aberdeenshire with a population of over 19,000 and is the most easterly town on the Scottish mainland. It is Europe's premier white fishing port. Peterhead lies at the very heart of Buchan, a beautiful and vibrant part of North East Scotland and is 33 miles north of the beautiful granite city of Aberdeen.

This circular, walking treasure Trail takes you from the centre of the town through its historic streets to the harbour passing fine examples of Peterhead's fishing industry.
The Trail is approximately 2 miles long and takes about 2 hours. It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
