Oldmeldrum is a historic Aberdeenshire town located approximately 17 miles north-west of Aberdeen. With a population of just over 2,000, Oldmeldrum lies between the urban and transport centre of Aberdeen and the magnificent countryside of the Cairngorms and Grampian ranges, Royal Deeside and Speyside. Known locally as 'Meldrum', its narrow streets reflect the irregular plan of the old medieval market town which is centred around the Market Square and its fine Town Hall. The town boasts a working distillery which was founded in 1797.
