  • YOUR MISSION

Twisted Angus le Boule has always hated having to live in a city. For this reason he has become insanely jealous of the fresh air, open space and beautiful scenery to be found in Alford. Hoping to spoil it for everyone else he has planted a huge, smelly smoke bomb in the middle of Haughton Park. The clock is ticking and the park is depending on you! Can you figure out the four figure code to deactivate the device?

    Alford

Alford is a small country town, happily nestled in the Vale of Alford, skirted by the picturesque River Don and surrounded by the hills of Coreen and Bennachie. Surprisingly, given the peace and tranquility of Alford, Aberdeen, is a mere 40 minutes drive away.

Alford has many claims to fame. The Doric poet, Charles Murray, was born in Alford in 1864 and a bloody Civil War battle in 1645 bears its name. The world famous Aberdeen Angus cattle breed originated from this area and no-one can fail to spot the life-sized bronze statue of Jeremy-Eric, a champion Aberdeen Angus bull, at the entrance to the town.

This circular walking spy Trail leads you through Alford's bustling centre, through leafy Murray Park and Haughton Country Park. It is approximately 2 hours long and should take roughly 2 hours. The Trail is mainly on pavements and tracks making it suitable for light pushchairs but regrettably not wheelchairs.
