With many years of teaching experience in primary schools, Treasure Trails Scotland North East will be happy to work with schools and other children's organisations in the following local authority areas:
• Aberdeen City
• Aberdeenshire
• Moray
• Highland
Below are the 3 main ways in which Treasure Trails can work with schools and children's organisations, but we are always open to new suggestions. Please contact us to discuss your ideas and requirements.
Treasure Trails offer innovative, educational projects for schools where the children are involved in every aspect of writing a Treasure Trail for their school. The school can then take ownership of the Trail and can then use it as an enterprise project.
Following a presentation on the concept of Treasure Trails, the children are given a suggested route starting and finishing at their school, after which they:
• Write directions and clues
• Research their local area for interesting facts
• Write a funny, introductory back story
• Try to find advertisers if appropriate
These tasks offer the teacher a fun way of implementing many learning experiences and outcomes from the Curriculum for Excellence. To view further details of these, click here.
Treasure Trails will offer support every step of the way.

Working with the pupils of Fishermoss Primary, Portlethen

When learning is fun it is easy!
Treasure Trails can write you a Trail which complements and reinforces the learning that is already taking place in your school.
A Trail can be written round your playground, the school's immediate vicinity or even one which helps smooth the transition from primary to secondary!
We have already been commissioned to work with several schools in Aberdeen City and Shire and would be delighted to work with more!

Why not use one of our existing Treasure Trails around a town or park as part of your school trip?
They are a fun, healthy and educational way to spend a couple of hours and we can supply additional activitites if required.
They are also particularly suitable for Cubs, Scouts and Guides, as they offer appropriate activities for badge requirements.
