  • YOUR CASE

Struggling romance novelist Paige Turner was distraught when her latest work was turned down as being "too penny dreadful". Deciding to take on academic snobbery, Paige got herself a job at the University, but before she had a chance to prove herself, her body was found in a bunker. Was it her writing or her golfing skills that had been found wanting? Solve the clues to identify the murderer and the weapon. You might win a prize!

    St Andrews

St Andrews sits in the East Neuk of Fife, accessed via the A91, the A915 and the A917. It is a stunning medieval city, the international home of golf and Scotland’s finest coastal town. In St Andrews you can visit an historic castle, a medieval cathedral and St Rule's tower which, if you can manage the 151 steps, offers a panoramic view of the town, the harbour and surrounding countryside. St Andrews is also famous for its University, the first one in Scotland, established in 1413.
Golfers flock to St Andrews to enjoy a round on one of the eleven courses, or to watch one of the many championships hosted here.
Others come to enjoy the two award-winning beaches, the cafes, shops, hotels and attractions. West Sands beach was made famous in the movie Chariots of Fire.

This Trail is around two miles long. It provides views of West Sands and the Links. It takes you through the town centre and past St Rule's Tower, the cathedral, the castle and university buildings. It is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
