  • YOUR MISSION

Hazel Nutt and her partner Russell Sprout plan to open an organic shop and cafe in Blair Atholl. They have planted an explosive device underneath the water wheel at the water mill, which when detonated will bring the mill to a standstill, scupper the baking and create a crisis in bread supplies to the village, which they will then step in to fill. Can you solve the clues, find the deactivation code and save the mill? You could win a prize!

    Blair Atholl

Situated North of Pitlochry and just inside the Cairngorms National Park, Blair Atholl is a picturesque village dominated by the stunning Blair Castle, the former home of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl. There is a museum of country life and one of the few working water mills in Scotland.

The Trail is around a mile and a half in length. It wanders around the churchyard, along the main streets, to the war memorial and around the water mill. One part of the Trail is over uneven ground, but should be manageable with most pushchairs. Unfortunately it is not suitable for wheelchairs.
