Treasure Trails northumbria

If you are looking for a fun and interesting way to explore, a Treasure Trail is a brilliant way to help you to get out and see the sights of our beautiful area. Many people who do our Trails comment that they end up finding more than they were looking for as a Trail involves looking at many interesting features around our best towns and villages.

What are treasure Trails?

They are a different and inexpensive way to get out in the fresh air with friends and family.

  • Follow simple directions along a route around the most interesting aspects of a location.
  • Hunt for the answers to intriguing clues along the way, these are usually found on existing buildings, monuments and structures.
  • Solve a mystery and enjoy a bit of fun and quality time with friends and family, doing something healthy while learning about the local area.
  • Ssshh, whisper this, get the little ones outdoors away from TV and computers for a couple of hours!!
  • Enjoy one of the different Trail themes. Either Murder Mystery, Treasure Hunt or Spy Mission.

You pick the day when you wish to do a Trail and do it at your pace. If you are looking for new and interesting things to do in Northumbria a Treasure Trail could be the answer.

We now have Trails in the following places.

SUNNISIDE TRAIL

If you have completed the Sunniside Trail organised by Sunderland City Council you may wish to know the name of the one who did it and the weapon that was used. It was Hazel Ashurst and she found a cricket bat very handy for her crime.                On the other side of this page you will be able to see the other Treasure Trails that are available around the North East.
