  • YOUR CASE

Wedding bells have been ringing in Morpeth as wealthy society couple Lord Howitt-Hertz and his bonny bride prepare to tie the knot. But the groom has been found murdered on the eve of the wedding. Could it be one of the three jealous ex boyfriends? The father of the bride who opposed the marriage? What about the previous brides jilted at the altar? Rumours about the butler recently sacked after 'that' incident are rife. Just who and how?

    Morpeth

To walk around Morpeth is a pleasure in any circumstances. In a short distance it is possible to see a range of interesting buildings and delightful parkland. Morpeth used to lie on the Great North Road between London and Edinburgh and some of the original coaching inns are still in use as pubs. The River Wansbeck runs through the town and your Trail crosses the river at four different points. The Trail is roughly two miles long and should take about two and a half hours to complete. For sat nav users the post code for the starting point is NE61 1PD.

The Trail is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The path next to the river does tend to get muddy after rain.

    WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
Even though the weather was poor we both enjoyed the mystery element of the Trail. I have lived near to Morpeth for many years and I was suprised at the different things that I found out.
