The length of this Trail is approximately two miles and it should take about two hours to complete. The route around this most delightful town will involve seeing many sights. You will be able to view a range of things that most visitors to the more popular attractions do not get a chance see. Alnwick has had a colourful history due to its position close to Scotland and several parts of your route involve defensive buildings. The Trail is unusual as it starts inside of Barter Books and the first two clues are to be found here. Will you have the will power to get out of Barter Books once you are in that magical place?
