In 1543, the Golden Princess pirate ship ran aground off the coast of Portrush carrying chests of stolen Spanish gold. All but one of the chests were recovered by the authorities and it is rumoured that the remaining chest still lies hidden somewhere in the villages of the north coast. Portrush is our own little gem, a fishing village turned visitor attraction with plenty for the family to see and do. The Trail will take you around Portrush, see the sights and solve some clues. Don’t forget to bring a few pennies for the machines at Barry’s Amusements.
This clue based walking Trail is 2 miles in length and 1.5 hours in duration. Do not forget to pick up your town map and whats on guide from the tourist information centre at the start of this Trail.
