YOUR CASE
Legend has it that John Brownlow, the master of Lurgan’s legendary greyhound, had a secret treasure hidden somewhere in the town. He was buried with his map. After he died, some grave-robbers dug out the treasure map. It had been lost for many years until our trusty treasure hunters tracked it down! Now you have the chance to solve the mystery of John Brownlow’s hidden treasure.
Lurgan Treasure Hunt
Lurgan is characteristic of many Plantation of Ulster settlements, with its straight, wide planned streets and rows of cottages. It is the site of a number of historic listed buildings including Brownlow House and the former town hall.
Around Lurgan you will walk on paved streets. Expect a slight climb and narrow sidewalks going up North Street. The park has ground paths and grass and you will have to find your own way around once inside, it's a relaxing walk. The rest of the route is moderate ups and downs.
This Mystery Treasure Hunt is approx 2.5 miles. The walking is easy going with a few hills. Suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
