  • YOUR MISSION

Your mission if you wish to complete it! A time traveller from the Medieval Age has jumped into the present and placed an enchanted bomb along the banks of the Lagan Canal. If it goes off we will all revert back to 1430! You must cross between the walls and enter the ancient city as well as the present time to find all the codes to stop chaos prevailing.

    Lisburn Spy Trail

Lisburn is one of Northern Ireland's youngest cities, having been granted the status by the Queen in 2002. Just 10 miles south of Belfast, and straddling counties Antrim and Down, it is Northern Ireland's fastest growing metropolis.

The name 'Lisburn' means 'fort of the gamblers' and is derived from Lisnagarvey townland. The origin of the 'burn' add-on is less clear. Some say it comes from the fire which destroyed the town in 1707, others that it's derived from the Scottish word 'burn' meaning stream (the River Lagan being the stream).

Lisburn city has everything the family need for a great day out; the area is full of exciting places to discover and full of great places to see. The Trail is easy going with gravel tracks and tarmac roads; this Trail is suitable for all ages and will give everyone a chance to learn some interesting facts. You will finish at the Civic Centre from where you will be able to follow the short route back to the city centre.
Don't forget to call into the local tourist information centre before leaving on your Trail.

This walking Spy Trail is 2 miles in length and will take approx 1.5 hours to complete. This Trail is suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs.
