YOUR CASE
An unidentified body found during an archaeological dig in Sedgeford has, due to a large number of unusual aspects, led local police constable, Eve Ningall, to describe it as "an unsolved murder". A series of clues based around the village have also been identified which will help identify both the alleged perpetrator of the crime and the weapon used. Can you solve the crime before Eve?
Sedgeford
Located just off the main King's Lynn to Hunstanton coast road, and situated in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, Sedgeford is often referred to as one of the friendliest villages in Norfolk. In addition, for 6 weeks during the summer each year, the Sedgeford Historical Archeological Research Project investigate the entire range of human settlement and land-use in a typical north-west Norfolk parish, from the earliest times to the present day, work which encompasses multiple sites and a wide range of historical and archaeological techniques, from large-scale open area excavation and exploratory test pitting to map regression and standing building survey. Volunteers, often with no previous experience of archaeology, can undertake a wide array of 'hands on' training courses. Visitors are also welcome to view the excavations between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. throughout the season, on any day of the week except Saturday.
This is a Murder Mystery walking trail. It is approximately 1¾ miles long and you should allow 2 hours to complete it. The ground under foot is good. Whilst there a couple of gentle inclines, and one section of shallow steps, it is nevertheless considered suitable for both wheelchair and pushchairs users. Free car parking is available at the King William IV Country Inn and Restaurant (PE36 5LU). This trail is also available to purchase from the King William - all profits from such sales are being kindly donated to the local Church to help raise funds towards roof repairs.
