A sealed casket has been unearthed during an archaeological dig in the church grounds. The casket contains a map which local historian, and amateur archaeologist, Dr Dusta Dirtaway, believes will reveal the location of artefact's from the former Parish Church of Hackford which were believed lost during the fire of 1543. Can you solve the clues and identify the location of the treasure before it falls into the wrong hands?
Reepham
Reepham is a small, but attractive, market town situated midway between Dereham and Cromer. With many of the buildings dating back to the 16th and 17th Century perhaps the most intriguing part of the town is the 3-in-1 church, although little remains of the 3rd church which burnt down in the middle of the 16th Century.
This is a walking Trail in the Treasure Hunt format. It is 1.5 miles long and you should allow approximately 1.5 hours to complete it. The ground is generally good and level throughout. There is one area where the pathway narrows, and which may be impassible to wheelchairs and pushchairs - alternative directions are provided. The Trail starts in the car park off Station Road / B1145 (NR10 4LF) where free parking should be available.
