YOUR CASE
A fishing boat has been washed ashore at Brancaster Staithe - the skipper, Captain Johnathon C Gull, has been found slumped over the wheel - dead! Police believe foul play is at hand and have lined up a number of suspects. But they need your help in solving the clues left behind in order to positively identify the culprit. Are you up to the challenge?
Burnham Deepdale
Situated at the western end of the North Norfolk Coast, the area around Burnham Deepdale, Brancaster Staithe and Brancaster lays claim to being one of the driest regions in the country! You will still find a thriving fishing community along the coast, with mussels in winter a particular speciality. This section of the coastline is also home to a wide variety of wildlife, particularly birds.
This Trail has been kindly sponsored by Deepdale Backpackers & Camping and the Deepdale Cafe (both located at the Trail start and finish point).
This is a walking Trail in the Murder Mystery format. The Trail starts and finishes outside the Information Centre at Deepdale Backpackers and Camping. Free parking is available in the car park behind Leftleys Costcutter supermarket (PE31 8DD). The Trail is 5 miles long and you should allow at least 3 hours to complete it. Sections of the Trail take you along the Norfolk Coast Path. The ground underfoot along these sections can be extremely muddy in places and includes a long section of narrow, and uneven, boardwalks. For this reason this Trail is not considered suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
