The 2009 Annual Conference

Jurys Inn, Glasgow was the venue for the second Treasure Trails annual licensee conference.

Twenty-four Treasure Trails employees, licensees and partners from the 14 licence areas gathered from January 15th–17th to meet each other, review the last year’s achievements, discuss future developments, and enjoy some good Scottish hospitality.

Steve and Teresa Ridd were the proud hosts at a varied and successful couple of days during which new licensees met each other for the first time, and old friendships were renewed.

Steve said “I am delighted that the licensees were able to get together again – this time in Glasgow.  They are a fantastic bunch of people who all get on really well.  It was enormously beneficial to all the licensees – new recruits and longer-standing – to swap experiences, good practice and forthcoming projects.  2008 was a great year for Treasure Trails and I know 2009 will be even better.”

After colleagues had arrived from all over the UK an informal meal was held on the Thursday evening and a good day’s business was conducted on the Friday.  Friday evening’s entertainment, in the form of a murder mystery play by the Walking Theatre Co., was enjoyed by all.

“Everyone was thoroughly entertained by the evening’s entertainment – a fitting end to an excellent conference.” continued Steve.

A draw was held to decide the venue for next year’s conference and the expanding team is already looking forward to gathering in Dorset.
