  • YOUR CASE

Staff at The Falcon were shocked to find the crumpled body of Willie Jumpit, a popular rider, at the back of Mercer's Yard. The previous evening he had been seen in heated discussion with some men across The Market Square. What did they want with Willie? Rumour has it that a betting syndicate was trying to cash in on the local point to point races. Had he threatened to expose them? Can you solve the mystery of the jumped jockey?

    Uppingham

This one and a half mile Trail will take you less than two hours to complete along level footpaths and pavements. Uppingham is a bustling small market town, set in the beautiful rolling countryside of Rutland. Its long history is reflected in its ancient streets full of honey coloured buildings and interesting features. It is also home to one of England's best known schools.
The Market Place is the focal point of the town and the streets around it are full of shops, mostly still family owned and run, ranging from traditional retailers and specialty shops to art galleries, antique shops and rare book shops. The town also has a fine range of restaurants, inns and cosy teashops.
It is a town to wander round, to relax in and to enjoy.
