  • YOUR CASE

Before the Battle of Bosworth, Sir Percestrin Golda, King Richard's Treasurer, hid three chests of gold which Richard was going to use to reward his supporters after the battle. Sadly, both Richard and Perce were nobbled and knowledge of the gold died with them. But recently, during renovations at the Magazine Gateway, an old parchment map was found, hidden in a wall. Can you solve the clues on it to find Richard's lost gold?

    Castle Park Leicester

The City of Leicester has a long and proud history. Indeed, it is one of the few modern industrial cities that can boast such a rich heritage dating back over 2000 years.
This Trail takes you for a mile and a half round the oldest parts of the city. There are fascinating features to find from the Roman occupation, the 14th and 15th Centuries during the Wars of the Roses, including events around the Battle of Bosworth, and also the grand buildings of the Victorian age.
In the heart of a modern bustling city, the Trail leads you through ancient streets and secret places of peace and tranquility.

The Trail is on level streets and pavements and is suitable for both pushchairs and wheelchairs.
