Leicester City Streets
The city of Leicester has a long and proud tradition and is one of the few modern industrial cities that can boast such a rich history dating back over 2,000 years. Many of the city streets have been pedestrianised to provide a safe and pleasing walking environment, with excellent facilities for shopping, for leisure and for generally absorbing city life. However, despite its exciting progress into the 21st Century, the city still retains much of its old architecture, especially above eye level, and there are many hidden gems and secrets waiting to be discovered.
