YOUR CASE
It has long been rumoured in these parts that Black Ned, a highwayman who 'worked' the old road between Leicester and Northampton, had stashed much of his ill-gotten gains before he was caught and hanged. But no-one knew where. However, recently a strange map of Kibworth was found in an old loft. Was this Black Ned's secret map? Follow the directions and solve the clues. It could be you that finds this long forgotten hoard!
Kibworth
This Trail takes you on a one and a half mile adventure on good pavements and paths round the villages of Kibworth Beauchamp and Kibworth Harcourt, collectively known as Kibworth. It will take about an hour and a half to complete. The village found fame recently, being featured on telelvision in Michael Wood's Story of England. Kibworth presents a fascinating picture of a small vibrant community combining the old and the new, the present and the past. It has old world cottages and streets, some fine architecture and the remains of a twelfth century castle.
