TREASURE TRAILS WINS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD
It should come as no surprise to our customers from all over the country that we have won a major award for Outstanding Customer Service. At the very core of Treasure Trails is our desire that all managers establish a rapport with their customers and deal with concerns promptly and efficiently.
Treasure Trails Devon are therefore beaming this week following the news they have been selected as a winner in the prestigious South West Tourism Excellence Awards.
The Excellence Awards celebrate ‘the best in the South West’ and aim to reward the very best in the tourism industry.
Rod and Sandy Tilke, the Devon licensees, were pitched against Hotels, Theme Parks and major regional attractions when entering the awards, and are thrilled to have been selected as regional winners.

Treasure Trails’ nomination was due to the sheer level of customer satisfaction that is evident from the feedback on the company’s website. Sandy manages to establish a rapport with the customers who feel that their concerns have been addressed promptly and efficiently. One of Sandy’s best customers has completed over 30 different trails throughout Devon and Cornwall, and made a point of introducing himself personally at the Devon County Show. Another family from Stourbridge have visited Devon on four separate occasions in 12 months just to complete various Treasure Trails, which obviously has knock on effects for other businesses in the area.
Treasure Trails Devon was officially nominated by Managing Director, Steve Ridd MBE who commented, “Sandy and her husband Rod make a fantastic team, which is proven time and again by the feedback I receive regarding their trails. Sandy’s commitment and unbounded enthusiasm is infectious and her dedication to ensuring her customers receive the best possible experience she can offer is highly commendable.”
The Judges for this years’ awards included Chris Loughlin, Chief Executive for South West Water and Malcolm Bell, Chief Executive for South West Tourism who both stated the quality of the entrants to be higher than ever, with the winning businesses all showing that customer care is vital to business success. Mr Bell also commented that the winners are “exemplars for the South West,”
From over 200 entries Treasure Trails won Silver. A fantastic achievement. |
