Found in the embers was the body of one of the town’s booksellers– Mr John Jabberwocky. However, Mr J had not been burned to death but had been killed much earlier before the fire was lit. Hay-on-Wye is on the Powys-Herefordshire border close to the Black Mountains in Wales and the rolling countryside of England. This Trail takes you around the town and alongside the River Wye taking in many historic places of interest.
This is a Murder Mystery Trail. The Trail is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs, although it is hard work pushing a wheelchair around Hay-on-Wye!
