YOUR CASE
Early in the 12th Century a noble lady had a very precious treasure chest that she kept carefully hidden from her family. It was opened with two special silver keys. The two keys recently came on the market and now the hunt is on to find the box that they open. Can you help solve the clues and unearth the lost treasure chest?
Bromyard
Lying midway between Hereford and Worcester, Bromyard sits amongst some of the most scenic countryside in England. The district, with a history stretching back to the iron-age, was well populated by early Roman times. Situated close to two convenient crossing places of the River Frome, Bromyard continued to develop as a centre of trade growing to be the main town in a predominately agricultural area. Hop growing is the primary enterprise of the Bromyard and Ledbury district with most of the 4,000 acres under hop cultivation within the area.
This is a Treasure Hunt Trail. The Trail takes you past various historical buildings and museums in the town. There are no steps at all to negotiate which makes it very suitable for pushchairs. Wheelchairs will also find it possible with one small detour. The Trail will take you approximately 1 and a half hours assuming you don't divert into the many shops and cafes along the route! It is about 1 and a half miles.
The parking and the start point are in the same place!
