    The Lyndhurst Trail takes you around the "Capital" of the Forest area, since William the Conqueror established the forest as a royal hunting ground in 1079, it has been visited by Kings and Queens throughout the centuries.
    Lyndhurst offers a wide range of shops, popular with those seeking that special souvenir of their visit to the Forest. And naturally there is a wide range of tea rooms pubs cafes and restaurants to discover.



    The Trail not only takes you through the village centre but also into the forest, suitable for a picnics. It is a gentle stroll but there are some steps to negotiate so it is suitable for pushchairs, but regrettably not wheelchairs.

    On this Trail you must solve the case of "who killed Alice?" It is 1.5 miles long and should take you 2 hours to solve. You will discover a few surprises along the way!
