YOUR CASE
In Fordingbridge the infamous Jack Diamond's lugger, "The Three Brothers", was captured and the smuggled tea stored here. Not one to lose his booty that easily, Diamond enlisted the help of the evil Ridd gang of smugglers from Cornwall. They seized the goods, leaving one bag of tea and gold. The story goes that the loot is still undiscovered, can you follow the clues and find the treasure?
Fordingbridge
Fordingbridge town dates back to the Domesday Book. It is a small Hamlet in the New Forest with plenty of charm. When you visit this pretty place you feel like you have taken a step back in time. It is a small country town on the banks of the River Avon, with breathtaking views from the Great Bridge, built in Medieval Times.
This Trail is a short walk around the village centre and should talk around one and a half hours to complete. The walking is gentle with no slopes. It is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. You will walk 1.5 miles which should take you 1.5 hours to complete.
You can buy the trail in the Fordingbridge Museum, it's a great place to visit too.
