    The Harrison extended family were summoned to Alton to hear the reading of the will of billionaire Hugh Richardson. They were shocked to learn that the bulk of the estate would go to his new young wife. That evening, she was found brutally murdered and the whole family are suspects.     Alton is a delightful and welcoming place and the ideal base for exploring. The surrounding area, home to Jane Austen, is renowned for its tranquil and unspoilt beauty.

    It is also at one end of the Famous Watercress Line steam railway and is a great place to start train journey to the lovely town of Alresford, where we have another Treasure Trail.



    The Trail is around Alton Town, it will take about 2 hours to complete and is 2 miles long. Because the walk does not leave the pavements it is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
