  • YOUR CASE

Captain Rufus, the notorious ruthless pirate, has just returned to his Hythe home after wrecking another ship on the Spanish Main. Rufus and his crew with their plunder of sea chests spilling over with pieces of eight, diamonds and gems, have just reached their secret location to celebrate with a night of drinking and gambling. Solve the clues to discover the secret hideaway, no pieces of eight to win, but a cash prize if you are lucky!

    Hythe

Hythe is the hidden gem of the New Forest towns. Nestling between the New Forest and Southampton Water.
Hythe offers fantastic views of the water and the cruise liners arriving in the port of Southampton.
There is a half hourly ferry service to Southampton from the end of the pier which is now the world’s oldest pier train.

This trail can be purchased in Waitrose in Hythe, or the Herald shop.

This trail is around the maritime village of Hythe. It is all on pavements and will take you approximately 2 hours to complete. You will walk approximately 2 miles, and the trail is suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs.
