300 years ago, the infamous pirate Captain Sal T. Seadog sailed into the coastal town of Hythe, his ship laden with stolen treasures. After a night of celebration, he buried his loot in a secret location. But in a drunken haze, he lost his map, leaving the treasure hidden for centuries. Now, it's up to you, our top adventurers, to follow the clues and uncover the location of the Salty Seadog's Stash!
Treasure Hunt Through the Town of Maiden Voyages
Grab your family and friends for a day of adventure in Hythe, as you embark on this self-guided treasure hunt themed Trail. Starting at the public car park by the library, you'll explore Hythe Marina and follow the sneaky clues hidden on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments to reveal the location of the buried treasure.
As you make your way through the town, you'll discover that Hythe is famous for Christopher Cockerell, inventor of the Hovercraft, and has witnessed the maiden voyages of ships like the Titanic and the original Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth.
