Beaulieu to Buckler's Hard
Such is the remarkable state of preservation of Beaulieu and Buckler's Hard that you might be forgiven for the impression that you have arrived in the middle of a period film set or a museum. Beaulieu village has a hotel and cafe. At Bucklers Hard you will find a warm welcome at the Master Builder's House Hotel. This trail can be purchased at the New Forest Activities Centre, or Fairweather's Garden Centre.
The riverside walk is delightful, through gentle woods scattered with wild flowers and breathtaking glimpses of the river. The path is uneven and so unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The 4 mile walk will take approx 3 hours to complete. There are toilet facilities at Beaulieu and Buckler's Hard and plenty of places to picnic or eat out. If you wish to start the trail in Buckler's Hard there is a second start point on the trail, so that you can start at Beaulieu or Buckler's Hard. You can cycle or walk this trail.
