Treasure Trails make a fantastic activity to complete on your coach trip or group visit to a particular location. Suitable for both children and adults, you will see the most beautiful and interesting sights whilst solving an intriguing murder mystery, treasure hunt or spy mission Trail around a village, town or city.
What happens?
An especially created Trail Booklet is given to each team or family with an intriguing mystery to solve on an easy to follow route around the area. The answers to the clues are located on buildings, monuments and churches encouraging the group to learn some local history as well as use team work and problem solving skills. Each Trail event should take around three hours and involves around 2 miles of walking.
Extra fun tasks and challenges are included in the booklet including treasure collection tasks, puzzles and local quizzes. We provide everything the organisers need to run the Treasure Trails Group Event themselves and send all materials to them in advance, so the day is stress free and smoothly organised.
Why Treasure Trails?
Treasure Trails help you discover hidden gems and secret spots in a new location that you would never otherwise have seen. The challenge and competition element of finding clues and solving a mystery will amuse and delight all children in the group, as well as keep them entertained whilst you enjoy exploring somewhere new.
We make sure that each Trail takes in the most historically significant spots in any given location, but also takes you off the beaten track as well. Each Trail is written by a local expert who is passionate about the landscapes and area they live in. We think we have a perfect way to enable exploration and discovery of a new area.
What does a typical Treasure Trails Group Event include?
Four weeks before the event the organiser will receive their complete Treasure Trails Group Event Pack. As well as the Treasure Trails Group Booklets an Organiser’s Pack is incorporated which includes everything needed to run the Trail, a risk assessment, instructions on how to divide the group into teams and the answers in a sealed envelope.
Each visit can be tailored to each particular group and the Treasure Trails Group Event booklet will be personalised with the name of the group, trip or company and the date.
Who is it for?
The Trails contain something for everyone and are suitable for both children and adults. Where possible the Trails are suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs, but more information can be supplied on request.
How big can the group being?
We can cater to any group size. The group will be split into small teams of four or five and each team will have a Treasure Trails pack with clear instructions and a route to follow.
What is provided?
An organiser’s pack is provided with risk assessment, full instructions on what to do and how to organise the group. A team sheet to collect each group’s score is also included as well as the solution to the mystery in a sealed envelope allowing the organiser to take part if they wish. The entire pack is sent to the group organiser a month in advance of the trip.
