  • YOUR MISSION

New Scotland Yard have received a sinister message signed "Winnie The Whistleblower", threatening to disrupt the Queen's next Trooping the Colour official birthday parade, with an ultrasonic device audible only to horses. Is it a hoax? Or nay, a threat? We need you to follow the trail, solve the clues and discover the code to disable the device - just in case!

    Westminster

With its connections with Royalty and Government, Westminster is blessed with that extra 'Wow!' factor, and this Trail shows off Britain's capital city at its most stunning.

PLEASE NOTE: RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED DUE TO OLYMPICS EVENTS DURING SUMMER 2012 MEAN THAT IT MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE TO LOCATE ALL CLUES. We are monitoring developments in St James's Park and will keep you informed. Also see our 'Trails Status Updates' page (linked from main London page.)

The spy mission takes you via some of London's favourite sights, whilst following a route that is perhaps less well known. As you follow the directions and solve the clues, you will find yourself close to such iconic delights as Westminster Abbey and the Supreme Court, the beautiful and splendid St James's Park, the Mall, St James's Palace, Admiralty Arch and brushing past Trafalgar Square. The Trail includes visits to a number of sculptures and memorials which you may have been aware of, but never before paused to appreciate, including a haunted statue, a General's nose, leaping hares and the scene of a duel. It finishes with a flourish - along Whitehall, the epicentre of British government, passing familiar favourites - Horse Guard's, Downing Street and the Cenotaph.

The Trail has lots of picnic potential, visiting as it does two of the Royal Parks, so bear that in mind when planning your day. It can also be easily extended with a wander up to Buckingham Palace, into Trafalgar Square, or along the Embankment.

The Westminster Spy Mission Trail is a great way to introduce children to Britain's capital city and makes the centrepiece of a great day out for treasure hunt fans of all ages!

(Warning: may contain some challenging clues).

This is an easy walking Trail with a few short flights of steps included, which regrettably makes it unsuitable for wheelchairs. Parents with pushchairs should be able to manage with some assistance.

    Approximate distance 2.5 miles.
Estimated time to complete 2 hours.
Nearest Tube Station: Westminster (District, Circle and Jubilee Lines)
The Trail begins and ends close to Westminster Tube Station.

    WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY
We have now done 4 trails and find them very enjoyable. I have recommended them to others and bought them as gifts for children/family. They are great fun and a good way to keep kids and adults occupied and see places you never knew existed.
