YOUR MISSION
After disqualification for ball-tampering, embittered county cricketer Lewis Duckworth has hatched a wicked plan to ensure that rain stops play for every cricket match due to be held at Lord's this year. His weather machine can only be disabled with a secret 4-digit code. Can you find it and keep the dark clouds over St John's Wood at bay?
Abbey Road and Lord`s
St John's Wood is an attractive residential area of London, known in particular for being home to Lord's Cricket Ground and the zebra crossing made famous on the Beatles' Abbey Road album cover.
This spy mission Trail will introduce you to many more treasures as you hunt in and around St John's Wood; it follows a level circular route which takes in attractive side streets, leafy parks and churchyards and ends in the attractive Edwardian High Street of St John's Wood. Here, there is a wide choice of cafes and restaurants. There are public toilets at a few points on the route.
The spy mission Trail includes gentle, accessible clues, some wildlife themes, interesting local and sporting history and is particularly well-suited to families.
As St John's Wood is situated just to the north-west of Regent's Park, a suggested extension to this Trail would be a visit to one of London's most beautiful large parks with its wildfowl areas and boating lakes, and maybe a picnic too!
Please note that parts of this treasure hunt Trail are in gated grounds and only accessible until dusk.
