YOUR CASE
How jolly embarrassing! The royal wedding ring has 'gone missing' somehow between the shop and the Palace, and the royal jeweller has had to make a fake one in time for the ceremony. Do you, the treasure hunter, solemnly swear to take on the quest to find the ring's location before anyone discovers the awkward truth? Say "I do!" and help save the royal day! If you succeed, there may be a reward in it for you!

Wedding congratulations to William and Kate! Whether or not you were able to join the royal couple on their big day, you can take in some of the London celebration atmosphere on this walking treasure hunt Trail.
Begin your Trail at St James's Park tube station and we'll introduce you to some fascinating Westminster back streets and buildings before emerging in front of magnificent Westminster Abbey. The Trail then leads you along the return procession route to Buckingham Palace via Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and The Mall as experienced by the newlyweds before crowds of hundreds of thousands of wellwishers on April 29th 2011.
The difference is - you'll be solving a treasure hunt puzzle as you go!
There are pubs, cafes and public conveniences along the route, and the Trail passes through St James's Park and close to Green Park if you fancy taking a picnic along.
This is an easy walking Trail on level ground. Parents with pushchairs should be able to manage throughout, although London being London, road- and pedestrian works are sometimes unavoidable. Some gravel surfaces and steps to clues mean wheelchair users would require some assistance on this Trail.
At time of writing there are building works on Caxton Street which require a short detour into the road, so please take extra care there.
Approximate distance 2.5 miles. Estimated time to complete 2.5 hours. Nearest Tube Station: St James's Park (District, Circle Lines) The Trail begins and ends close to St James's Park Tube Station.
